David Goltz wurde 1971 in Celle, Deutschland, geboren und lebt und arbeitet in Hamburg und Berlin. Er absolvierte ein Studium der Kunst und Fotografie an der Minerva Art Academy in Groningen, Niederlande. Seine fotografische Praxis bewegt sich zwischen freier künstlerischer Arbeit, redaktionellen Bildserien und kommerziellen Projekten.
Geprägt von einem dokumentarischen Ansatz und einer reduzierten Bildsprache beschäftigen sich seine Arbeiten mit sozialen Räumen, individuellen Biografien und stillen Momenten des Übergangs. Fotografie versteht er nicht als Mittel zur Festschreibung von Wirklichkeit, sondern als offenes Feld der Wahrnehmung. Der fotografische Blick dient der Annäherung: an Situationen, an Menschen, an gesellschaftliche Konstellationen.

Das Projekt bündelt eine langfristige fotografische Arbeit und führt zentrale Fragestellungen seiner Praxis weiter: Zeit, Wahrnehmung und die Beziehung zwischen Bild, Betrachtenden und gesellschaftlichem Kontext.
